Malawi's president, Bingu wa Mutharika, has come down to earth and admitted to Malawi's Parliament Session that he is in serious talks with Britain over the two countries' diplomatic tussle.
Mutharika told Parliament yesterday his government is doing all there is to do to make sure that relations between former colonial master Britain and Malawi get back to normal.
It is the first time Mutharika has spoken on efforts to heal current wounds, and offers some insight into his panic over Britain's announcement it was withholding aid until it reviewed its relations with Malawi.
