Arrested gays tortured at Blantyre Police

Blantyre Police officers have been torturing Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, the two Malawian gays arrested for staging a public engagement- the first ever in Malawi's history.
The torture started Monday night for the two, and continued on Tuesday, Zachimalawi can reveal.
"Why torture us instead of just throwing us into a cell? What wrong have we done," queried Chimbalanga.
Police torture is common in Malawian cells, prompting suspects to acknowledge crimes they never committed.
