Arrested gays in court Monday

Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga will appear in court Monday, where the Blantyre Magistrates Courts is expected to make a ruling on their bail application.
The two are at Blantyre Police Station, after being arrested monday for what state prosecutors call 'gross indecency".
There have been mixed reactions following their arrest, with people arguing for and against thir conduct on December 26, when the engaged in public along the Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Meanwhile, the two have decried police torture a the hand of Blantyre officers, saying they were being victimised.
