Moving Beyond Gender as Usual
In this analysis, the Center for Global Development’s HIV/AIDS Monitor argues that despite well-meaning global strategies and policies, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the World Bank’s Africa Multi-Country AIDS Program have not yet been able to turn them into systematic programming that addresses the needs of women and girls.

Launch of AIDSspace
Earlier this week UNAIDS launched AIDSspace www.aidsspace.org, a new social networking site for the global AIDS community. Users can create profiles for themselves and their organisations. The site provides a space to share information and engage in dialogue with other users, as well as a range of other features . AIDSPortal is currently exploring ways to better connect the family of AIDSPortal sites with AIDSspace to ensure a better experience for users.

Network Information
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance with technical support from AIDSPortal is supporting a citizen journalism programme where volunteer civil society members with an interest in reporting on HIV, AIDS and TB issues that affect their communities are ‘speaking their world’ read more about the key correspondents programme
