Saturday, 13 October 2012, will forever be remembered for two sad events: The Malawi Senior National Football team losing 1- 0 to Ghana on home soil, and son of the soil Henry Moyo- renowned for his stint as team manager for the National Football Team of those sweet-old-days- breathing his last.
This means Malawi have lost 3 - 0 on aggregate to Ghana, having succumbed to a 2 -0 defeat in Accra, Ghana, two weeks ago.
For Moyo, it means the end of a fruitful chapter that saw him curve a name in Malawi soccer and politics.
Moyo's remains will be buried on Sunday in Kasungu, according to his son Kelvin.
May his great soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
