Agriculture Produce Prices for 2012

The Ministry of Agriculture released government's recommended prices for agriculture produce two weeks ago, but ministry officials now say they are reviewing the same to reflect last week's devaluation of the Malawi Kwacha by 49 percent.
President Joyce Banda bowed down to IMF instigation to devalue the local currency. Former president Bingu wa Mutharika, who died on April 5 this year, vehemently refused to bow down to IMF pressure to down-slide the Kwacha, fearing it would reap Malawi's economy apart and leave its people stuck in the mud of poverty.
Zachimalawi is, therefore, unable to furnish the blog follower who requested for the same with information pertaining to new produce prices until after a review is carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Please write again.
