INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE DEATH OF DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS AT THE ANTI CORRUPTION BUREAU (ACB) LATE ISSA NJAUJU
Government expresses heartfelt concern and condemns the brutal and cowardly murder of Mr Issa Njauju who at the time of his untimely death was Director of the Corporate Affairs responsible for general administration, finance and human resource at the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
The Malawi Police Service has opened investigations into this tragic death. Government, and all law abiding citizens, will therefore wait for the findings of these professional investigations to take an informed stand on the matter.
To this effect, the general public is being asked to refrain from making wild speculations which are deeply hurting the bereaved family and colleagues at the ACB who have lost a dear friend, husband and father. Such a painful and tragic death must not be a treated as a source of propaganda by anyone.
The Malawi Police Service is working around the clock to find the real truth of the matter. Therefore, the public is hereby being assured that perpetrators of this heinous act will be found and be brought to book. The criminals can run, but not hide.
Meanwhile, Government is appealing to the general public to assist the Police with relevant information that may lead to the apprehension of the criminals.
